I took some time to join The Johnny Ballgame Show, a sports talk radio show heard in La Grande, Oregon during the week from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Pacific time, on Tuesday to discuss theBig Ten, Big 12, Florida State, Florida and Boise State football. We took a hypothetical look in the crystal ball and took a look at a Big Ten without Ohio State being eligible for postseason play. I have previously shared with you my Big Ten thoughts that Wisconsin and Nebraska are going to start the season as favorites (especially if the Badgers nab Russell Wilson). I also tell Ballgame that I think Michigan is a team capable of making a run under Brady Hoke as early as this season, although I think the Wolverines need a year or two before ultimately being a Big Ten contender once again. Hoke is the right guy though. We move to the Big 12, which we will be touching more on next week on the site with Big 12 week (stay tuned for details). I'm a big fan of Oklahoma this season and can't wait to watch Oklahoma State's offense take the field. And as I have said before, Texas should improve from last year. I also buy the fact that Florida State is back, or close to it, but readers of the site and listeners to my show knew that already. Florida is a team I need to see under Will Muschamp (and Charlie Weis) before I can truly know where they are heading, and despite some critical losses from the roster I think Boise State is still going to be a solid team as long as Kellen Moore is behind center.
