Mississippi State gets seal of approval here

I admit to being a couple days behind on this. I had the link bookmarked but I just now am getting around to posting about it. Above is a look at Mississippi State‘s specially designed uniform for the annual Egg Bowl, against rival Ole Miss. The uniform is designed by Adidas, who has tended to lack the flair and style that Nike has done with their alternate uniforms this season, but at least they are ahead of the curve compared to Under Armour.

Without seeing a photo of the actual uniform, and just going off of the style sheet released, I have to say I kind of like these uniforms. Really, not uch is different with the uniform, except for the numbering. To keep in tune with the golden Egg Bowl, the numbers have a gold tint added. Instead of names on the back of the jerseys, he phrase “Hail State” will be placed on the name plate. We have seen this sort of thing applied to uniforms at Army and Air Force recently as well. A patch with the state of Mississippi will also appear on the left shoulder, with the school logo on the right shoulder.

Mississippi State has won two straight meetings between the two schools, and three of the last four.

I’m inclined to give these jerseys a thumbs up. Just don’t show up in a surprise Mississippi State pride uniform the way Maryland did, eh? Nothing good could come of this.

Go Bullfrogs, er Bulldogs!
