Es tu Missouri? More yellow jerseys on the way in 2012

No 2-Minute Warning’s biggest pet peeve coming to Missouri, it seems

Please do not tell me there is a yellow football uniform in the works for Missouri, even as an alternative option once the Tigers join the SEC. Alas, it sure seems to be pretty obvious that Missouri will have a yellow jersey in their lockers this season, much to the dismay of No 2-Minute Warning.

According to a post on the school will unveil a new uniform set on April 14. They have released a teaser video of former Tigers wide receiver and current Philadelphia Eagle Jeremy Maclin getting a sneak peak.

“Are you serious?” Maclin says at one point. That would be my reaction to the thought of a yellow jersey, which just looks awful in football. Here is a look at a few recent additions of yellow jerseys (after the jump), just to refresh your memory banks. As you will hopefully agree, yellow jerseys rarely work.

Oregon, champions of innovative uniform designs. It's an eyesore, but we'll live with it.

At least Cal didn't wear yellow pants on this day.

Minnesota dressed in yellow from head to toe. Yuck.

About as successful as you'd expect.
