Uniform Madness: No. 5 Maryland yellow jersey vs. No. 13 Stanford all-black
Oregon Region: Maryland advances two to Sweet 16, looks to hold off upset-minded Stanford

From 32 teams to 16, the 2012 Worst College Football Uniform Tournament is on to round two! Staying in the Oregon bracket, we have Maryland one step closer to an all-Maryland final and looking to hold off Stanford and their all-black uniform.

Maryland’s yellow uniforms certainly are less offensive than their state pride uniforms, which advanced to the second round as the top overall seed, but they can carry their own weight in this tournament. The yellow threads received 84.62% of the votes in their round one match-up with Virginia Tech’s orange helmets. Now they look to continue the hot streak in round two, against Stanford’s black uniforms.
Stanford scored a big upset in round one, knocking out four-seed Duke and their own black uniforms. The selection committee thought Duke would be more of a contender in the bracket but the voters gave Stanford 52.63% of the votes, more than enough to move in to round two. They will be up against a tougher opponent in this round though.

So who will take one step closer to the regional championship? Maryland or Stanford? Your vote will decide.
Vote below to determine which of these two uniforms deserves to be put away in a storage closet, never to see the light of day again until appearing on a future episode of Storage Wars? Voting is open until Saturday night, with the next round starting next week.
