Nike suits Longhorns in new practice uniforms
So it seems as though Nike is giving the Texas Longhorns a fresh look for the spring, with a new assortment of practice jerseys. At first glance you can be forgiven for thinking these were mis-shipped and instead intended to arrive in Corvalis, Oregon for the Oregon State Beavers, but a closer look will reveal some signature images for the Longhorns, including the logo on the neckline and the state flag of Texas on the pants.
Could this be a preview of something to come from Nike for the Longhorns in 2012, perhaps in the form of a Pro Combat jersey? At this point we certainly cannot rule it out, but before we jump off a bridge at the thought of one of college football’s most historic powers alternating their look, which is among the best in the country as far as this college football writer is concerned, let’s just hope that these uniforms stick to the practice fields and not make an appearance on Saturdays.

Speaking of bad uniforms, be sure to cast your votes in the Worst College Football Tournament polls. This round closes tomorrow (Saturday) and the Final Four will begin on Monday.
