Well, good luck covering the Notre Dame spring game on April 14, you'll probably be the only one there. They play on the 21st.
Help wanted: Notre Dame, Stanford spring game coverage
Unique opportunity available for aspiring college football bloggers and journalists
There is a chance that No 2-Minute Warning will be able to receive a media credential to the Notre Dame and Stanford spring football games the next two weekends (Stanford, April 14; Notre Dame, April 21). Because I will be unable to attend these games I am opening the door of opportunity for someone out there to possibly take advantage of this media access on behalf of the website. If you are a college football blogger or aspiring journalist and want to cover the spring game at Notre Dame and/or Stanford, please contact me ASAP, as media credential requests will need to be submitted very soon.
This is a non-paying opportunity but could have a chance to reach a decent audience with our connections with college football fans, media and other contacts on Twitter and more. The following are not necessarily requirements for covering these games for the site, but should be considered traits for the ideal contributor:
- Looking for a college football writer, be it an experienced blogger or someone with a journalistic background (whether professional or educational).
- Must be professional in conduct, as you will be representing the website, and by extension me.
If all goes according to plan you will be given a media credential from the university athletic department. All I ask is that you follow their rules and observe the rules of the press box.
This is extremely short notice, but if it all comes together your contributions will be recognized accordingly and help in the continuing progress of the site’s overall influence and brand quality in the college football media world.
In the coming months we will be unveiling a plan to try and incorporate correspondents on various campuses. This can be considered a trial run.
UPDATE: Notre Dame is now off the table, as the deadline has passed, but I do have a few games to add to the mix. Feel free to inquire about the following:
- Bowling Green (April 13)
- Central Michigan (April 14)
- Western Michigan (April 14)
- University of Texas – San Antonio (April 15)
- Kansas State (April 28)
