Is Auburn going to wear a chrome helmet?

Photo suggests Auburn could have a shiny look at some point this fall

Oregon’s Rose Bowl helmet and the influence is has had has reached the east (Syracuse), dirt race tracks and may now have been brought to the south-east. More specifically, the SEC.

This photo, as shared on Reddit and making rounds on message boards, shows the typical Auburn style on the helmet, but the white has been replaced with a fresh coat of chrome paint to reflect everything including the amateur photographer. Is it a player? Probably not, but the photo is certainly going to generate some buzz as we anticipate the official unveiling of what might be worn at least once this season.

You will notice, the facemask also appears to have a chrome finish, with an orange hue.

Is Auburn hopping on the chrome band wagon?
