It was rumored a while back that Army was going to get a helmet designed and provided by Hydro Graphics Inc., the people responsible for Oregon’s Rose Bowl helmet. This is a few days late but it is now confirmed, and they look just fine.

To my eye there is nothing to dislike about these helmets for Army. The look maintains their traditional helmet design and once they suit up in these for the season they should look just as sharp. There is no confirmation yet on whether these helmets will be for every game or just a select game or two. Given the design and its traditional feel, I would venture to guess these helmets will be the standard helmet for the upcoming season, and why not? These helmets are worthy.
