No 2-Minute Warning endorses the Oregon Duck
I have to hand it to the folks at Oregon. They know how to promote their brand and university and have some fun while doing it. Take this latest attempt at going viral, which plays off of the election buzz currently sweeping through the country as we get closer to the next presidential election showdown between President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
I rarely discuss politics, especially with my college football friends and readers, but I am formally pledging my support and vote for the Oregon Duck, a candidate I believe this country can get behind. He announced his candidacy earlier today in a brief press conference.
A quick stop to the official campaign website for the Duck quotes one of the top mascots saying “America needs a leader who isn’t afraid of not wearing pants.” At first I would have assumed that slogan was reserved for a blogger with great aspirations, but whatever.
I have a good feeling we will be seeing plenty of these campaign videos in the coming months, and this could be fun.
