Here is Penn State’s Beaver Stadium (Beaver Field) from the old horseshoe days

Penn State’s football home, Beaver Stadium, is one of the largest stadiums in the country with a capacity over 100,000. If you looked at it today it might be difficult to imagine what it looked like decades ago, in the early years of the Joe Paterno era. Beaver Stadium used to be called Beaver Field, and the stadium was once actually disassembled and rebuilt in its current location today.

In fact, here is what old 30,000-seat horseshoe Beaver Field use to look like in the previous location, located more in the thick of the campus as opposed to the outside of the campus as it stands today. Today a parking garage can be found on the site seen below. The exact year of this photo is not known to me.
