Working on getting these back muscles stronger...little by little. Still as motivated as ever. Love ya'll #bELieve pic.twitter.com/cOsMWOJ8Jk — Eric LeGrand (@EricLeGrand52) April 21, 2015It goes without saying LeGrand has a long way to go before walking again, but hopefully the progress made by LeGrand provides some sort of inspiration for anyone facing similar challenges. For those who did not know, Rutgers has retired the No. 52 previously worn by LeGrand, but head coach Kyle Flood says the number will be unretired when LeGrand regains the ability to walk. Here's to hoping that day comes soon enough. Follow No 2-Minute Warning on Twitter and Like No 2-Minute Warning on Facebook.
It has been a few years since Eric LeGrand of Rutgers was carted off the field against Army and told he may never walk again, but that has not stopped him from doing everything he can to defy the odds. Yesterday LeGrand shared a video of himself leaning forward and sitting back in his wheelchair. For someone who was given at best a five percent chance of ever regaining neurological function, this is a significant milestone, and one very much worth celebrating.
