It seems like just yesterday we got back in to the blogging groove with a look at Louisiana Tech’s new helmet to be worn this upcoming season. It was actually two days ago, but whatever. But we’re back with more as an image of a patriotic themed helmet for Louisiana Tech has surfaced. Needless to say, this gets a thumbs up.

As you can see in the image, the shell of the helmet remains red, the standard for Louisiana Tech. The “T” is filled with the blue field and white stars while the outline of the state of Louisiana is filled in with the red and white stripes from the American flag. This particular helmet will be worn when Louisiana Tech takes on Army in the Heart of Dallas Classic Game, which will be played on September 28 in the Cotton Bowl. This will serve as Louisiana Tech’s Military Appreciation Day.

And for those curious, the staff at Louisiana Tech has already been in touch with EA Sports to ensure their program is accurately represented in NCAA Football 14 with the upcoming updates and patches to the game, which will include the new helmet design and a scoreboard fix.

You can read the Louisiana Tech release for more information on the new helmets for the 2013 season.
