Maryland Terrapins latest to go Gangnam Style

The college football season may be winding down with the bowl games set to begin this season, and perhaps we will see these Gangnam Style videos start to go with it. However, until they do, we will continue to share them here.

The Maryland Terrapins, what’s left of them anyway, are the latest to join the fun.

Maryland cornerback Dexter McDougle had the help of a number of his teammates and other members of the student body in filming and editing a complete Gangnam Style parody using just a cell phone. So not only is this a Gangnam Style music video but it is also a cell phone video cutting off two-thirds of your viewing area as well!

In the world of YouTube, this is a textbook example of spontaneity and cashing in on trending fads. Enjoy.

Mascots and music videos may never get old. Who doesn’t love a good mascot video?

LSU’s Mike the Tiger may have been recreating a classic scene from Napoleon Dynamite over the weekend, but Ohio State’s Brutus the Buckeye was busy putting together a music video with the Ohio State Spirit Squad with a more current theme.

Wisconsin gets the Gangnam Style treatment

Gangnam style and Badgers fans. What could possibly go wrong?

When it comes to pop culture I will always admit that I am typically pretty slow to a bunch of fads. Can you blame me? If it doesn’t have to do with college football, the odds are pretty good I am not 100% up to speed on what the kids are in to these days.

But there comes a time when pop culture and college sports mix, and all too often it results in a horribly produced YouTube video sure to go viral for all the wrong reasons. That said, I am not sure what to make of this new offering, in which Wisconsin is done Gangnam Style.
